Aero Space Museum

The Aero Space Museum has, for the past eight years, sent several deserving Calgary students down to Houston to Explore NASA's laboratories. Become part of the International Space School and study with an elite group of the world's best students.

The Aero Space Museum of Calgary is proud to announce our new educational partnership with the amazing For the Love of Children Society of Alberta. Through their generous support we are able to host many programs that enable us to enrich thousands of Calgary's children. Through their assistance we are able to support the following remarkable programs:

Through this amazing program a lucky and hardworking grade 11 Calgary student is able to attend the elite United Space School at NASA's Johnson Space Centre for two weeks each summer. Selected from highly deserving applicants, the candidate becomes one of only 38 students worldwide to have this unique experience.

A real challenge for equal educational opportunities can be the expense of actually getting students into high quality sites such as the Aero Space Museum. Supplementing a child's education with specialized resources can be the catalyst for an amazing change in their learning. With the support of the For the Love of Children Society we are able to cover the cost of bussing for high needs schools as well as supplement 60% of program attendance fees. For a class of 30 students, a field trip that would run upwards of $480 (including bussing) will cost a high-needs school only $60! Please consult your school board to confirm if your school qualifies.

Our week long Campus Calgary programs are an amazing launching pad to a lifelong love of learning. Using our specialized staff and resources, teachers bring their classroom to us. Applying broad concepts and ideas, teachers are able to involve their students in a truly experiential learning experience that will help open their eyes to fresh ways of observing, listening and learning.
